This Land Rover came to us from Block Island. The owner, who is an art dealer, fell in love with the Land Rover and the dull, muted, patina of the 50 year old Bronze Green paint. The Land Rover had major rust damage to the frame and bulkhead, the owner was adamant about not changing the overall look of the vehicle but wanted it to be mechanically reliable and to withstand the harsh Block Island salt air. We carefully dissembled the Land Rover and removed all the steel parts to be either repaired or replaced and galvanized. We then started with a new galvanized frame and a good used bulkhead. We then rebuilt the Land Rover to the same specs as our full restorations with all safety and reliability upgrades, like power disc brakes, parabolic springs and an NAO rebuilt and upgrade engine. The finished product is Land Rover with a completely unique, all-original look but that drives better than new, just like our full restorations.
